Santa Delivered Toys to Kids in the Hospital with some special help!

Our Comfort Build-a-Bag visits are always magical, but during the holidays it’s really something special! Combining with our Operation Santa toy drive, this hospital visit is amazing, as it brings Santa down from the North Pole. With their busy schedule this time of year Mr. and Mrs. Claus made time together to deliver our bags to these amazing children.

With Elves to help carry bags, Kohl’s Volunteers, Princess Belle and our Super Heroes took the elevator up to the pediatric floor. Before our delivery started, a young girl spotted Santa as she got off the elevator and came down the hallway. She immediately gave him a hug as Santa picked the little girl up. Elves quickly reached in their bag and got her a very special St. Jude Bear donated to our foundation from Kay Jewelers and Lisa Romo! These bears are special as they have provided comfort for 5 years and counting during our Comfort Build-a-Bag Christmas deliveries. The little girl was so excited she went down the hall shouting, “it’s Christmas, it’s Christmas!”

Definitely Christmas was here early at this hospital because children were excited to see Santa come visit them individually. With Super Heroes like Batman, Spiderman and Captain America boys and girls were excited! But when Princess Belle visited a special little girl who had her own Beast Doll in her hands, she was shocked to see Belle surprise her. Posing for photos for the family Belle showed the little girl that magic is real, and anything is possible!

This Operation Santa Comfort Build-a-Bag visit continued to spread joy down the hallways, while Santa continued to visit families one on one. Mrs. Claus passed out Candy Canes to kids as we visited each room. Inside our Comfort Build-a-Bag’s were toys donated through our Operation Santa Christmas Toy Drive, as well as other donors. Items collected during Operation Santa end up going into our bag’s all year long!

Remember that our Comfort Build-a-Bag program gives kids amazing bag’s full of stuffed animals, coloring books, toys and more every month! This unique program would not be possible without our volunteers. Together we all work to team up to bring joy to kids, and it really makes you realize what the Christmas Season is all about.
