Mr and Mrs Claus gave Toys to Children through our Operation Santa Christmas Toy Drive

For over 14 years Operation Santa has provided thousands of toys to children in our local communities. Various sponsors and donors help make the magic during the Christmas season. Our donation locations have what we call Boxes of Hope, here people donate toys.

Last year we didn’t get to have our party where families come to see Santa and Mrs Claus due to Covid, but this year things are a little better. At this Christmas Party we had Santa’s favorite snack, you guessed it: cookies! Cookies were provided by Jaunita Diaz, baked to perfection. Children enjoyed cookies while writing letters to Santa. Some wrote down what they wanted for Christmas, while other wrote sweet messages.

Once their letter was placed into the mail box to Santa, it was time for each family to take their turn and receive their toys. Children got to talk and laugh with Mr and Mrs Claus while posing for pictures to last a lifetime. Parents joined in on the Christmas fun, taking family portraits.

Of course without donations from Elves all over, Santa wouldn’t be able to deliver toys. Every year an amazing sponsor of ours, PEP Pool and Electrical Products hosts our Boxes of Hope at their store locations.. This year each store competed to collect the most toys, and combined they collected 289 toys for families and a few gift cards. Toys were also collected from the Beaumont Wal-Mart thanks to the community for donating. Toys from these donations went straight to families at this Christmas party, and anything left over will go to the Hospital this month and into the next year with the Comfort Build-a-Bag Program.

This year we are not able to go to the Hospital with Santa, but we hope to be back next year to deliver bags filled with Christmas presents. We were at least lucky to be able to have our Christmas party for families to pick up their presents. We really want to thank every sponsor, donor and volunteer for making Christmas magical for children this year as always, together we make it happen.
