For over 10 years Comfort Build-a-Bag visits have brought toys and other various items to children in the hospital. Since COVID-19 we have followed strict protocols to insure everyone remains safe. If you have been following our journey online, you know just a few short months ago we visited the pediatric ward for the first time in 2 years with a couple characters and volunteers. It has been a blessing this year to have been back in action at Kaiser.
On this visit Belle came to visit children once again as she always does with volunteers from Kohls Cares. Belle wears her Golden color dress on every Comfort Build-a-Bag visit. This month Belle visited alone in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Belle and volunteers went room to room with Comfort Build-a-Bag items. Items included toys, puzzles, coloring books, blankets and more. Items were passed out, allowing children and the people they love the most, to get their minds off of treatments and onto some fun.
We hope to soon return to personalized bags, catered to each child’s age, interests, and medical condition. Stay tuned for that, and thank you to our team at Kohls Cares, you guys help make this all possible! We cannot wait for the next visit!
