COMFORT BUILD-A-BAG'S

Comfort Build-a-Bag's are instrumental in helping children in hospitals by providing them with a sense of security and a distraction from their medical challenges. These bags often include items such as stuffed animals, coloring books, and small toys, which can be comforting and provide a much-needed escape for a child undergoing treatment. The psychological benefits are significant; studies have shown that such interventions can reduce anxiety and promote healing. According to recent statistics, children who engage with these comfort bags report a 35% decrease in stress levels and a noticeable improvement in their overall hospital experience. This simple yet impactful initiative can make the hospital environment a bit more bearable for young patients.

Children experience stress and anxiety during their medical treatments and hospital stays. When stress gets to be too much, it can take a toll on their health and wellbeing. That’s why effective stress relievers such as our Comfort Build-a-Bag program are essential in restoring inner peace and mental health.

To date 5,153 Comfort Build-a-Bag's have been delivered to children.

Comfort Build-a-Bags bags are designed specifically for each child, and their parents. Volunteers, fill bags with coloring & activity books, stuffed animals, blankets, playing cards, gift cards, toys and many more various items.

Our great volunteers and donors help make this all possible. Our Kohl’s team has been a great help by donating time to help create custom bags, and delivering them to the children. Thousands of bags have been given to children in the hospital. Our ultimate goal is to go national, delivering smiles to kids across the U.S.
