This September Kids Cures Foundation had the incredible opportunity to bring smiles, warmth, and a little bit of magic to children in the hospital through our Comfort Build-a-Bag program. Being in the hospital can be an overwhelming experience for kids and their families, so we brought along some very special friends to help visit children: Moana, Stitch, and Spider-Man!

Our Comfort Build-a-Bag visits are carefully designed to provide items that are tailored to each child's conditions and interests! Moana helped us deliver cozy winter blankets, brand-new toys, and other comforting goodies directly to the patients. Seeing the kids' faces light up when their favorite characters walk into the room with gifts is always a heartwarming experience. This visit is especially meaningful as we observe Childhood Cancer Awareness Month this September "Childhood Cancer We Fight Together."

At the Kids Cures Foundation, we constantly advocate that kids are not small adults, and pediatric cancer needs pediatric cures. With only 4% of federal cancer research funding currently dedicated to childhood cancer, raising awareness and standing in solidarity with these families is a vital part of our mission. We want these brave children to know that they are never fighting alone. Every blanket, toy, and moment of joy is a direct result of people coming together to support children.

Thank you to the O'Neal family for all your volunteer work today, and over many years!
