Sharing the Joy: How This Food Outreach Brought Smiles to Children and Hams or Turkeys to Families

Our Cure Hunger Now food outreaches feed hundreds of families a month. At the Banning December outreach, families got to choose between a Christmas Ham or Turkey. Cars pulled up one by one and volunteers loaded up our USDA Food Boxes and extra goodies. Canned goods, walnuts, almonds, chips, cookies and more were included in these boxes and additional bags.

Children received toys from our Christmas Toy Drive, sponsored by PEP Pool & Electrical Products. For over 15 years PEP has been a huge supporter of our Operation Santa Christmas Toy Drive. With multiple locations across the California, they are a great place to find all of your pool and electrical supply needs. Any extra toys go to our Comfort Build-a-Bag visits through out the year. Thank you to our friends at Kohl’s Cares for your continued support of the Comfort Build-a-Bag program.

Thank you to Set Free Church of Banning, Hub City Church of Beaumont, Venture Church of Beaumont and Kids Cures Volunteers for all we do together. This year has been a great year, and we look forward to working together to help our communities thrive.
