Since the COVID-19 pandemic, it has hit our Comfort Build-a-Bag program the hardest. Limiting contact with patients and preventing us from bringing characters like Spider-Man and Elsa to children. We have been delivering toys bagged up safely for children this year. Nurses and doctors then help sort and pass them out to the children.
This program still provides great moments for kids, as they receive fantastic toys. There is nothing like randomly getting a cool toy as a child, this program provides that to children in the hospital. We met with our friend at Kaiser and she took the toys to pass out to children. Toys ranged form V-tech baby toys, Moana, Tangled, Iron Man, building blocks, cards, activity books and more! Thank you Mary Stanfield and friends for safely making and donating beanies for children, so cute!!
We hope the toys made a difference during treatment for these brave heroes!
